With Syrah sourced from Tierra Alta Vineyard in Santa Barbara County’s Ballard Canyon AVA this beautiful wine was produced at our winery in Crestline, California. This crowd pleaser opens up with lots of dark chocolate and cocoa qualities, surrounded by blackberries, black plums, herbs de Provence, and black olives, with meaty characteristics reminiscent of prime rib or mortadella. The wine explodes on the palate with an abundance of dark fruits; black plum, black cherry, blackberries, around olive tapenade, sage and oregano. This wine also has coffee, licorice and toffee qualities, along with meaty characteristics. Aged in blend of a 25% French Oak and 75% American Oak barrels for one year prior to bottling.
